Based in Beer Sheva in the Israeli Negev desert, Echoes was established in 2003 with the sole purpose of reproducing the live experience of the legendary Pink Floyd. Since Pink Floyd's live tour era has passed, this tribute project set out to give Floydian fans a taste of the real deal and to recreate the feeling of listening to Pink Floyd for the very first time.The 10 band members take great pride in their obsessive attention to every small detail—from replacing some equipment and instruments with gear similar to what the Floyds used, all the way down to guitar and bass string types, specific brand effect pedals, drum sizes, tensions, etc. Every tiny detail is carefully adjusted to match the original, iconic sound.However, the full experience that the band delivers in concerts encompasses both audio and visuals. 

To reproduce the magnitude of the Floyds' original shows while staying up-to-date with lighting and video art equipment, they use state-of-the-art digital consoles, LED screens, and lights, along with highly sophisticated syncing methods, all to deliver the most accurate and professional performance. Over the years, Echoes has collaborated with outstanding musicians, all of whom share a love for Syd Barrett, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright.These collaborations have included performances with the Israeli rock band Rockfour in their concert at the Shuni amphitheater, a special project with composer, conductor, and pianist Gil Shohat, and a joint tour with the British tribute band The UK Pink Floyd Experience.

Albums and Songs
Pink Floyd’s greatest albums, from "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" and "A Saucerful of Secrets" to "The Dark Side of the Moon" and "The Division Bell," are represented in Echoes' lineup. They play all the hits, including "Another Brick in the Wall" (all parts), "Shine On You Crazy Diamond I-V," "Comfortably Numb," and "Wish You Were Here," among many others. Every show is unique, with songs methodically mixed and replaced from different albums.

Full Albums
In many of their shows, the band plays entire albums. Sometimes they even perform two full albums in one show. They’ve done albums like "The Dark Side of the Moon," "Wish You Were Here," "Animals," and "The Division Bell." They’ve even played the entire "Pulse" album, recorded during Pink Floyd's "The Division Bell" tour in 1994.

Eclipse
Between 2015 and 2016, Echoes worked with Gil Shohat—composer, conductor, and prodigy classical and jazz pianist—to create a unique show that toured in Israel. They performed the entire "The Dark Side of the Moon" album, intertwined with Gustav Holst's suite "The Planets," accompanied by an orchestra of 100 musicians. For the encore and grand finale, they surprised the audience by playing "Atom Heart Mother," Pink Floyd's groundbreaking suite from 1970.

The Wall Production
In 2018, Echoes began work on one of the greatest albums of all time, "The Wall." The band designed every aspect of the show, from recording sound effects and creating lighting and stage props to making 3D videos and other elements for the huge screens. However, their 2020 tour plans were disrupted after just three shows due to the COVID-19 pandemic.After returning to the stage at the end of 2021, and after receiving high praise for their "The Wall" show, Echoes scheduled a tour in major European cities, including London, Paris, and Berlin.

The Wall European Tour

The band started their European tour of "The Wall" in Copenhagen, Denmark, on December 28, 2022. The tour lasted two months and included shows in major cities such as London, Berlin, Paris, Madrid, Vienna, Barcelona, and Rotterdam. With over 30,000 people attending across 21 dates, the tour was a massive success.

For this tour, four musicians who played with Roger Waters and David Gilmour joined the band on stage: Harry Waters, Roger Waters' son, who plays keyboards and performed live with his father between 2002 and 2016; Graham Broad, a drummer who performed and recorded with Waters from 1986 to 2013; Chester Kamen, a guitarist who performed with Waters between 2002 and 2016 and with David Gilmour during his "Rattle That Lock" tour, including the live shows in Pompeii; and Marky Lennon, who performed with Roger Waters during his "The Wall" tour.

For the European tour, the band added the song "When the Tigers Broke Free," originally recorded for "The Wall" but left out, eventually finding its way into the movie adaptation of "The Wall" and the 2004 remastered version of "The Final Cut" album. This is a unique addition, as Pink floyd has never played this piece live. The band is expected to tour Europe and North America again with "The Wall" in 2025-2026.

The Dark Side of the Moon Production - 50 Years Anniversary

Following the success of "The Wall" show, the band began work on "The Dark Side of the Moon," to mark the album’s 50th anniversary. With a new stage design and a massive round screen, the first half of the show featured the band’s greatest hits, followed by the full 1973 album. 

The premiere took place in March 2024 (on the 18th, 26th, and 28th) with three sold-out shows and an attendance of almost 7,000 people.The production received critical acclaim, with these premiere shows deemed a massive success. The lighting design incorporated lasers, and the classic round LED screen showcased newly created video art. 

The show comprised two parts: the first part included classics such as "Shine On You Crazy Diamond," "Another Brick in the Wall Part 2," "Hey You," and "High Hopes," along with the unusual live performance of "Pigs" from the "Animals" album. The second part was a full performance of "The Dark Side of the Moon." The encore featured four songs: "Run Like Hell," "Wish You Were Here," "Bring The Boys Back Home," and "Comfortably Numb."

A European tour for 2025-2026 is already in the works.

Future Projects

The band is currently developing another themed show, "Wish You Were Here," to celebrate the album's 50th anniversary. It will feature the big, immersive sound and visuals the audience has come to expect. Additionally, Echoes is planning impressive shows with a full orchestra to perform some of Pink Floyd’s unique compositions, which are rarely performed live. With Europe and North America tours planned for "The Wall" and "The Dark Side of the Moon," Echoes has a busy couple of years ahead of them.
